Counterpoint is committed to ending violence against women and building a safe and equitable community.

In response to community needs, Counterpoint offers programming in English, Spanish, and Tagalog.

Men's Programs

The core of our work provides psycho-educational counselling for men who have been abusive to their partners and have been mandated to participate in PAR by the criminal justice system. Services are provided in English, Spanish and Tagalog

Women's Programs

Women’s Programs in Counterpoint have served thousands since 1997, through a number of initiatives that are described below. This innovative programming, has enabled us to continue educating and supporting women on issues related to Intimate Partner Violence as well as women and children’s rights.

Training

The training at Counterpoint encompasses diverse aspects of domestic violence including the context of violence against women, philosophy, and principles of domestic violence work and the Coordinated Community Response model in Toronto.

Counterpoint Projects

Over the past year Counterpoint saw firsthand the increased risk and vulnerability that women survivors of intimate partner violence experienced due to the public health restrictions of the pandemic.

Volunteering

Counterpoint offers many opportunities for you to make a difference in women’s life, actively supporting our work to put an end to Intimate Partner violence and building a safe and equitable community.
